Doug’s Bio

Doug is a multi-instrumentalist with a love of music in all its variations. Starting on trumpet in elementary school, classical and jazz genres take on life. In order to delve into rock music, the bass guitar allows exploration of pockets and grooves. The keyboard opens up the world of chordal interpretations and color.

On bass guitar, Doug has played in many bands over the decades. From prog rock, classic rock, grunge, 80s rock, pop, funk, and classic soul, Doug keeps the party on their feet.

On trumpet, Doug loves the jazz genres from Fitzgerald to Davis to play clean melody lines and moving-heartfelt solos.

On keyboard, Doug is able to explore music in ways non-chordal instruments (like trumpet and bass) cannot. From finding that perfect chord inversion to ripping out a crazy solo, the keyboard is a versatile instrument.

Doug has worked with a number of local greats like Daryl Cline and Oz Smith. Doug played in Daryl Cline's band Jr Cline And The Recliners for over a decade on bass guitar. This has instilled a deep love for classic soul and the blues.
